The Texas Township Public Safety Committee meets regularly on the first Tuesday of each month, and special meetings may be scheduled as needed. All meetings are open to the general public. The Public Safety Committee makes recommendations to the Township Board on issues of public safety, including Fire and Rescue service, Sheriff's Department and law enforcement issues, and ambulance service. The four committee members are appointed annually by the Township Board.
