The next scheduled elections for voters in Texas Township is Tuesday, February 28, 2012. This election is the Presidential Primary. Voters will be required to chose a party in order to receive the appropriate ballot.

If you are not a registered voter, you may register to vote at the Texas Township Hall, 7110 W. Q Avenue, or at any Secretary State Office. To qualify to vote in the February 2012 election, you must register to voter before January 23, 2012. Mail in registrations may be accepted but must be post marked on or before January 23, 2012 to quality for registration.

You may verify your registration at www.michigan.gov/sos voter information. Applications for absentee ballots are available by contacting the township Clerk’s office at 978-0710 or email to info@texastownship.org – subject Absentee Ballot.

Voters may receive a ballot by mail until Saturday, February 25th. The townships Clerk’s office will also be open on Saturday, February 26th from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for those wishing to obtain a ballot. Voters may request an absentee ballot till 4:00 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 but must vote in the office on that day.
