Farmers' Market Vendor Information

The Texas Township Farmers’ Market features roughly 35 vendors each Saturday and 28 vendors each Tuesday, selling locally-grown fruits, vegetables, flowers and plants, meats and eggs, as well as local cheeses, baked goods, prepared foods and more. All of our vendors come from a distance of within 50 miles, and most of them live in Kalamazoo county. Many are Township residents as well.

Tables have been assigned for the 2018 market season, which runs Saturdays, May 12 through October 20 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Tuesdays, June 5 through August 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. However, we continue to accept applications for the wait list. Please read through the 2018 Texas Township Farmers’ Market Rules, Guidelines and Application thoroughly to ensure your business is a good fit for the market before applying. Applications may be submitted using the online form or can be downloaded and returned by hard copy to the Township Hall.

Tables are assigned based upon several factors, including participation in the market in the previous year; variety and diversity of products; proximity to Texas Township; adherence to Market Rules and Guidelines; and application detail and completeness. Please note that we have had a wait list in past years.

All vendors must have a current application on file with the market manager to be considered for space at the market. This means that even if you were a part of the market or on the wait list in the past, you have to submit a 2018 application to be considered for a vendor space at market this year. We revisit our rules and guidelines annually to ensure that they are clear, fit our market’s mission, and adhere to federal, state and local rules and regulations for farmers’ markets and food businesses.
