Just before 5:00 pm Rescue 1151 and Engine 1111 responded to the intersection of South 9th Street and West N Avenue for a serious motor vehicle crash involving a semi tractor/trailer and car. Pride Care EMS arrived on scene just prior to TTFD units and confirmed there were critical injuries. It appeared that the vehicle traveling westbound on West N Avenue had collided with the southbound semi and sustained sever damage.
Rescue 1151 remained on scene to assist the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Department with traffic control and minor extrication. All units were clear in about 2 hours.
