Ordinances & Enforcement

Ordinances

Ordinances are enacted to protect the health, safety and welfare of Township residents. You may contact our office with concerns or complaints by calling our office at 269-375-1591.

General Ordinances

The General Ordinances refer to items that relate to township administration and impact the township as a whole. They include items such as noise ordinances, trash hauling ordinances, liquor license ordinances, and more. All of the General Ordinances are compiled through MuniCode.

Zoning Ordinances

The Zoning Ordinances are specific to development and construction within Texas Township. They will provide you with information on setbacks, zoning districts, development standards, and more. All of the Zoning Ordinances are compiled through ClearZoning (PDF).

If you have questions regarding zoning and development, please visit the Planning/Zoning/Development Department.

Enforcement & Complaints

Our Ordinance Officer investigates violations on a complaint basis. If you would like to file a complaint about a property, please fill out the Request to Investigate Possible Ordinance Violation form. Please note that any complaint forms submitted are subject to the Freedom of Information Act and as such, may be released during a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) inquiry.
