The Arther E. and Mildred Woollam Nature Preserve (formerly Rota-Kiwan) will open to the public on Saturday, August 17th at 9AM. The Woollam Nature Preserve, a 212-acre nature preserve (formerly the Rota-Kiwan Boy Scout Camp), is Kalamazoo County's newest park.
Following the soft opening, the preserve will only be open on weekends from 9AM to sunset. It is anticipated to be fully open in May 2025.
The natural features of the park have been preserved in a conservation easement through the Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy.
The preserve will feature walking trails, kayak rentals, bathrooms, picnic rentals, and more.
