We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced HR professional to serve as our Human Resources Manager. This is a key leadership role responsible for independently managing all aspects of HR in a dynamic local government setting. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the full scope of human resources functions for Texas Township and serves as the sole HR professional within the organization. This position reports to the Township Superintendent and collaborates with Department Heads to support HR operations, including recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, payroll oversight, training, employee engagement, and policy development. The HR Manager plays a key role in fostering a positive, respectful, and legally compliant work environment across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee relations, conflict resolution and corrective actions.
- Payroll processing in coordination with the Clerk's office.
- Policy development and compliance with labor laws.
- Recruitment and onboarding for all departments.
- Performance management and training programs.
- Employee engagement and communications.
- Union negotiations and grievance process.
