Texas Corners

The downtown core of Texas Township, commonly referred to as Texas Corners, is encompassed by the Corners Business District (CBD). The Corners Business District is home to many restaurants, retail shops, and commercial businesses. The Texas Township Downtown Development Authority (DDA) was established in 2000 and oversees the growth and economic development of the Corners Business District. It’s the vision of the DDA, as well as the Texas Township Board, to see a thriving and flourishing downtown district that brings families together and provides residents with an abundance of dining, shopping, and entertainment options.

Current & Recent Projects

Corners Business District Visual Preference Survey

The Planning Department, in conjunction with the Planning Commission, distributed a survey during Summer 2021 to gather information about preferences for what residents, business owners, and stakeholders would like to see in Texas Corners. This survey provided feedback on things like building size, proximity to the road, signage, color, and more.

Ring Road Project

In 2021, the DDA approved funding for an engineering firm to design the first segment of the "Ring Road," which will provide greater connectivity in the CBD. The first segment currently under design would connect Vineyard Parkway across 8th Street to Shooting Star Lane.

Corners Coins

“Corners Coins” are $5 wooden tokens that can be spent just like cash at participating Texas Corners businesses. These coins are available to purchase at the Township Hall during normal business hours. Download a map and explore Texas Corners (PDF).
