Don Boven
Texas Township Trustee
Don Boven has served on the Township Board in November 2016. He is a long-time member of the community and has lived in Texas Township since 1965. Don retired from the Upjohn/Pharmacia Company after 31 years of service and has two grown children. Don has served the township in many capacities including Captain of the Texas Township Fire Department (20 years), on the Township Zoning Board of Appeals (2 years), and as a Township Trustee (30 years). He also has served on the Township's Election Commission, Public Safety Committee, and Building Board of Appeals.

Barbara Hammon
Texas Township Trustee
Barb is a lifelong resident of SW Michigan and has lived in Texas Township since 1983. She is recently retired from Borgess Hospital where she worked as a critical care nurse. She has 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. Barb was elected to the Township Board in November 2020.

Michelle O'Neill
Texas Township Trustee
Michelle grew up in Essexville, Michigan and relocated to Portage in 2002. Michelle along with her husband and two children moved to Texas Township in 2016. Michelle is employed full time with the Michigan Department of Transportation. She is a Licensed Professional Engineer. She received her BS in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1999, and holds a Masters Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University. Michelle was appointed to the Township Board in January 2023 and elected in 2024.

Lisa Koop
Texas Township Trustee
Lisa was born and raised in Galesburg, MI. A graduate of Western Michigan University, she has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood education. Lisa has been teaching 1st grade at Lake Center in Portage for over 20 years. Lisa and her husband Don have lived in Texas Township since 2000. She and Don have 2 boys, age 16 and 19. Lisa was elected to the Township Board in 2024.
